| Review: Apple TV does movie rentals
You could buy movies on the computer, then transfer them to Apple TV, a slow process and hardly worth it. The movies were expensive and of poor visual quality. A few months later, Apple Inc. gave the box direct access to YouTube videos, instantly making it more entertaining. The latest software update, which arrived last week, takes Apple TV to a whole new level: It can now download rented movies directly from iTunes, with no need to involve the home computer. Some of the movies are even in high definition, finally providing a picture that's a match for our flat-panel sets. Apple is not alone in offering this kind of device, but it does quite well in the category, even if its box isn't perfect. At $229 for the basic model with a 40 gigabyte hard drive, it's probably the cheapest way to get video from the Internet to the TV.
Palestinian Aide Suggests Kosovo a Model
Under the internationally endorsed "road map" peace plan, which is the basis of the renewed negotiations with the Palestinians, Israel is to cease all settlement activity. Work is under way to link the mobile homes to utilities, even though there is no official approved blueprint for expanding Eli, Peace Now's settlement expert, Hagit Ofran, said. "The situation on the ground is deteriorating," Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat told a news conference Wednesday. He said Abbas and Olmert agreed Tuesday to begin working with a U.S. mediator in charge of investigating complaints about noncompliance with the road map. There was no immediate Israeli confirmation. Similar unauthorized settlement activity has taken place in Maskiot in the northern Jordan Valley.

Talking romance with Mills and Boons' only male writer
Mills & Boon publishes 50 new titles a month and as it celebrates its 100th anniversary it is selling a book every five seconds in the UK alone. Not even the combined effects of feminism, celebrity culture, chick lit, falling literacy rates, ladette culture and the run-down state of our libraries have put a dent in the female reader’s appetite for a good dollop of romance. The stories are translated into 26 languages and sold in about 100 international markets, with at least 1,300 writers pounding the word processor to keep up with demand. The brand is famous (Mills & Boon is in the OED, definition: "romantic story book") though the authors are almost never household names. In the 1960s Violet Winspear – an unmarried woman who lived with her mother in Leigh-on-Sea – enjoyed a certain notoriety.
China tops India again
Ask yours self Why? The Indian Civilization is one of the greatest of all time just like the Chinese which i acknowledge and admire. But present day China is reminiscent to the puppet shows my parents used to take me to when i was a kid.Everything in China is stage managed. They decide from what kind of image they have to potray to what culture the people should espouse. I have the freedom to criticize my Government and system on a public forum like this but i am pretty damn sure our Chinese Medical Professor can do this only at the risk of his very own life unless he is an immigrant living ina foreign country. Again my chinese friend very conveniently left out the issue of "one Child policy" forcibly unleashed on its people. Tell me again what good is your economic success for. India's great competency levels in services industry is acknowledged gloally.
